I wanted to absolutely love these shoes, i was looking for a super cool looking outdoor shoe that would also double as my everyday shoe for walking my dog and going to work. Unfortunately, the only aspect of my wishes these shoes fulfill is the stylish part. The construction appears to be solid at first but over the course of about 1 month of use, being switched out for other shoes as well, they began to show signs of wear and tear that i do not think should be consistant for that little use and over that short a period of time. The rubber sole is great but comes off from the seams easily and requires something like shoe glue while the upper began to rip where the laces cross each other. My biggest gripe with these shoes is that i needed to purchase heel liners for these shoes as the top of the heel digs DEEP into the ankle on the left side of the shoe. After 10 minutes without liners i developed a blister on my ankle. I contacted Vivobarefoot support and they told me, and i am not kidding, that my

This was mildly dissapointing as a fan of the brand. I will update this review in case the status changes but I may have received a pair that has a slight manufacturing defect, or at the very least a manufacturing u201cdifferenceu201d. Basically the left shoe is great and fits similar to my other Vivos, but the right shoe of this pair blisters the top of my foot near the metatarsal joint of my big toe. It comes from the natural crease/fold that that occurs on the top of the shoe as one walks or runs. I have 4 other pairs of Vivos including boots that have not ever given me blisters. Visually there seems to be a small difference around the stitched portion. I cannot confirm yet but will test and measure further. I am inclined to exchange for a different set of the same shoes just to see if it can resolve it.

Update: I ended up exchanging for a different pair in the same size. Difference was night and day - so I would consider my initial review as a case of manufacturing error on the set I got. This model's leather is quite thicker than other Vivos I have had and fits snug. Any variables in stitch or fabric dimensions will cause the folds/creasing to be non uniform. Lucky to get a decent replacement. Thanks to Amazon for making it easy.

This is my second pair of Vivos, and I'm a little disappointed. The shoes fit well, are comfortable, and at least when brand new, looked fantastic. But, the soles seem to wear out very quickly. After 3 months of use 3-4 times a week, the soles are already most of the way gone. Vibram fivefingers manage to have a very thin sole that last a very long time. I don't think it's too much to expect the same from a fairly pricey pair of shoes. The outside of the shoes also tend to attract dirt, stain easily, and are difficult to clean. I expected more for $150.

These actually ended up being way more comfortable than I had expected. I put them straight to work on a 3-day Appalachian Trail hike with a heavy pack. They are actually waterproof up to the sock and breath better than I expected them to. No complaints really. I mean I don't know how far I can handle carrying a heavy pack in minimalist shoes, but that's not a problem for Vivobarefoot.

go with your shoe size. These are the best shoes money can buy and here is why:
- fit perfectly and are waterproof
- going barefoot is beneficial for your body because it naturally realigns all of your joints from ankles up. I had slight knee pain when i wore out my other shoes and i couldn't figure it out. My physiotherapist pointed out that it might be just the shoes and mentioned Vivobarefoot brand... That was 5 years ago and I am sold. I wear these for work, all of my strength training and everything else i do. And when winter comes i am for sure getting a pair of their boots.

Do yourself a favor and buy these. Extremely highly recommended!!

I'm not a frequent shoe buyer--maybe a new pair every 4 years or so. But, these are definitely the most comfortable shoes I've owned. I typically like walking barefoot (indoors and on smooth surfaces). Shoes are typically a little uncomfortable for me because they feel stiff or narrow (i have wide feet). So, it was a pleasant surprise to find that while being snug, my toes still felt free to open up and stretch a bit when I walked. I read somewhere that they recommend rounding up to the nearest size. I'm normally a 10.5US, I bought the size 11US, and the shoe doesn't feel loose like it's going to fall off my feet or anything.

I can't say anything about its durability yet, because I've only had it for a day... So 5 stars for now.

Wow, the reviewer before me perfectly describes the issue with the right shoe. The way the top of the shoe is designed, it digs into the area where your toes begin. It causes a mild discomfort, and gets worse as you walk more. This is my second Vivo, had a much better experience with the first pair (Primus). These ones are overall more rigid and constricting, they feel like a regular shoe. However, theyu2019re the best option for Chicagou2019s snowy winters.

These shoes are great! Theyu2019re leather so of course there is a little bit of a break in period but after wearing them for a week they fit like a pair of slippers. They were exactly what I was hoping for, a barefoot shoe that had a real barefoot feel not just minimalist and yet they look like a normal shoe. Theyu2019re definitely a little tight if you have big toes but again theyu2019re leather so theyu2019ll give and form to your foot. I donu2019t think these would be good to run in but definitely recommend these for an everyday shoe.
