This is a powerful little powerhead that one person can use. If you've never owned an auger before, take in mind that you'll need to buy a bit for it that is the exact size for the shaft, because each manufacturer has their own size shaft and it is near impossible to find an adapter to fit a different manufacturer's bit. Don't just buy a bit on Amazon that says this is what other people bought when they bought this powerhead!!! I learned this the hard, frustrating and expensive return postage way!! not an expert on the portable post hole...easy starting machine, well packed and excellent shipping box.... the 43 is not as powerful as upper powered CC heads... worked for me as had to get some farm fixing done when the tractor wasn't available or where the tractor can't go.... price was right and i got the 4 and 6 in hole augers.... you need a number 8 alan wrench to attach auger..very simple and only one bolt...so far, used just the 4 inch for for inch posts...

Received today; assembled (one bolt attaching auger); filled with fuel (50:1) in which a small container of oil included; choke on; primed via pushbutton; five pulls and fired up; dug five sets of holes (three holes each set) in a combo of sandy loam and hard as a rock dirt; can be done by one but two makes it easier; done deal.

Good engine, but slow to start-requires several pulls to get it going. However, once it is running, its a beast on dirt. I had the last powerhead from Earthquake for 20 years before it bit the dust. I hope this lasts as long!
